The Past Few Months

Looking at how little I have blogged this year I felt that I needed a bit of a catch up post. I've also been looking at some new blogs I have come across and they've inspired me to write a new post!

I have just had 2 weeks of mocks for my GCSE's next year and if I am finding the mocks stressful, I don't know how I will cope with the real ones?! Since my last post I have been on holiday, had college interviews, finally got a job interview (in a week!) and had my birthday!

Late August, I went on holiday to Jersey with my family. Our hotel was right on the beach and the whole island was really quiet (the beaches were nearly always empty). We went to a lot of war places as the island was occupied by Germany in World War Two and we also had a go on a Segway which I absolutely LOVED! Would 100% recommend, it's so easy once your know how! I won't ramble on but I will just say that Jersey was one of my favourite holidays and I would definitely visit again!

Since October I have been attending college open evenings for next year and I have finally decided on which courses I want to do (I think?):

  • English Lit & Lan Combined (only avaliable at some so if not - English Language)
  • Art: Photography
  • Art: Textiles
  • Business Studies
I really wanted to do German instead of one of those options but unfortunately it's only available at one college in my area.

My 16th birthday was on 11th November and I spent most of the day at school and around an hour at a college interview (the exciting life I lead). I finally upgraded my phone from a crappy blackberry to an IPhone 5S and I love it so much! I also went to Fright Night at Thorpe Park with a few of my friends (my ticket was a present). I had such a good time but it was TERRIFYING!

we managed to do all the mazes bar one

It's a scary thought leaving school and going to college but I do find it exciting too. My results day is already planned out as is my prom which I am SO excited for! (I already have my dress!)

Bit of a rambly post but hope you enjoyed it :)

Huge Collective Haul (Haul 007)

So as you know I was on a bit of a blogger's block and didn't post for about 7 months (sorry again!) and I still seemed to find myself taking pictures of things I'd bought (so many lip products - I think I have an obsession). I thought I'd make one (long) post with some of the things I've purchased in the past half a year...

-----APRIL-----

My first MAC lipstick! I got it for £5 from my local hairdressers.
I think that's because it was from a discontinued range (but I don't care - £5 FOR A MAC LIPSTICK!)

-----MAY-----

I got this really cute camera from a carboot sale for £3 but it didn't come with any film
Also I'm not sure where you can get 120/126mm film?...

I also got this cute little plate from the carboot sale (doesn't look small but it really is) for 50p
I use it to put my rings on

-----JUNE-----

vitamin water ft. fake sunflowers (my favourite!) and a cactus.

I've wanted to try a bottle of Glaceau Vitamin Water which were actually really nice!
I also went back and brought 2 more as I really loved them! (2 for £2 in my local Sainsburys)

I'm going on holiday to Jersey next week and I wanted a hydrating lip balm for the plane/beach and thought that this Baby Lips one would be perfect! I really love the Baby Lips range and have mentioned them before previously (here and here)

I also got a Maybelline Super Stay 14 hour lipstick in Ultimate Blush which is so good and long lasting!

-----JULY-----

I mentioned this on my last post but this was the first Nakd bar I had.

I mentioned how much I loved Baby Lips so when I saw Barry M had their own line of tinted lip balms (Cor Balmy!) I couldn't wait to try one! I think this one is a lot more tinted than the red Baby Lips one I have but I would still like to try the other shades! It also has SPF 15 which is really important for summer. (shade - Rosie Lea)

-----AUGUST-----

Barry M Matte Top Coat £2.99

Accessorize earrings from the sale £2.50
Primark necklace £3 and bracelet 6 pack £2

 ONLINE ORDERS:

Superdrug:
Tanya Burr Chic Lipgloss (not sold in my local stores - a bit gloopy but a nice shade) £6.99
Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Liner (came free with the mascara - online exclusive)
I don't wear eyeliner often as I'm terrible at applying it but I will 100% try out this one!

I got this to use on holiday but forgot there was no pool and not sure if it will work in the sea.
I did test it out in a sink full of water and it worked fine but I'm too scared to try it out in the ocean!

I hoped you enjoyed this post (not even a week after my last one!) even though there were a lot of pictures and click here to see my last haul (from November)...

Vintage Town

Today I visited a local town with my mum and sister Laura. Its really cute and covered with vintage shops. We went to get furniture for our new summer house (we did get a table!) and I ended up with a number of items...

We first went to the biggest vintage shop in the area (my favourite) an old mill converted into a 'unique shop with a mix of antiques, home furnishings, gifts and jewellery. Its such a big shop and I could resist taking a few pictures:
I loved this sign so much that I decided to take a picture with it.
I promise that is me! Just not prepared to show my bare face and unwashed hair!!

I thought these keys were so cute but decided against getting one when told they were £4!

I really love things like this - an old suitcase? would just look so cute in my room!

I also LOVE the lavender hearts that were scattered around downstairs but
I wasn't prepared to pay £10 for one when I could make my own!

After a lot of debating, this record 'dish' i guess was the only item I ended up taking home :)
£3.50

We also went into a little private shop where I brought my second Nakd bar. I previously tried the Berry Delight bar and wasn't sure whether or not I liked it (it tastes a bit like these things school bars that I used to have have at junior school!) so I got another different flavour (Cocoa Mint) for 90p but I'm still uncertain.

We then went into a little cafe for lunch and I really loved the table number cards!

After the cafe, we went into a little chocolate shop
(left to right) Chocolate Brownie Praline, Hazelnut Praline and Chocolate Orange Praline
(I LOVE PRALINE) £1.65 for all 3

Then finally I got this 'chocolates' tin for £4
I always end up with a tin every time I go here!

I was looking back at my old posts and I noticed that last year, I put up a picture of my sister's birthday cake and as her birthday was yesterday, I thought I'd post another picture:

In other news, I've been meaning to watch Orange is the New Black for ages now and I stared yesterday. I'm only on episode 5 (literally halfway through, decided to stop in the middle and write this post!) but I'm really enjoying it! I also just finished watching The 100 too which is SO GOOD! It's on in the UK at the moment on E4? but I watched the whole series online and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Sorry for the amount of pictures on this post but I hope you enjoyed it and I will hopefully post again soon :)

I'm Back!?

So after my emotional (not) 'final post' (now deleted), I have decided to continue with my blog. I hadn't looked at my blog since then (FEBRUARY) and just looking at it again made me see the 2000 pageviews I now have... I really don't understand how that works?! Anyway, so thank you guys so much and I will be carrying on with this blog, you will all just have to wait a bit for the posts! I am just finishing Year 10 and I have my mocks coming up soon so I probably wont' post until July(ish, maybe later...) I also should be revising but Doctor Who is on BBCthree...

Today we had a family BBQ (the first one in years) and its been a really nice but hot day. We also had Sports Day at my school yesterday and I have a bad headache (at least I have a tan to show for it!) I also saw Dirty Dancing at the theatre yesterday with my mum and I would definetly recommend that if it comes near you. I've only seen the film once but the stage show was BRILLIANT!

*BBQ OUTFIT*
sunglasses, crop top & shorts - Primark

necklace - local vintage market
(obsessed with this necklace)
(idk why the top looks like that!?)

Sports Day certificate
(last sports day, first and last time I participated, still not sure how we won!?)

Dirty Dancing Programme :)

P.S. I just want to say thanks again for sticking with me and I hope to post soon (don't get too excited!)
P.P.S I used '?!' / '!?' so many times!?!?

News #1

I made an ask.fm so now you can ask me anything:) please someone, literally NO answers yet

Right so I know I haven't posted in a while but I've got some good and bad news.

The bad news is that I have been having troubles with my new post (which was due to come up a few weeks ago). I couldn't do it the first week as I literally have so much coursework and I'm like really struggling.. anyway and I had a dance comp too (didn't do well), the next week I was halfway through and then my laptop died so I lost half of it, then I thought I'd wait until next weekend but I got some good news...

I was out with my dad and sister on Saturday and he was like 'oh we need to go to *friends* nan's today to drop off some books' so I was like 'oh okay I'll wait in the car'. He insisted that I came to the door so I was a bit confused. When they opened the door, I saw my *friend* who immigrated to Australia 2 years ago! I was so shocked to see her and we both just cried! I knew she was coming back but they decided to come early and surprise everyone! I still can't really believe they're here!

*more about this here*

So yeah that explains this weekend and as you know, I can't do weekdays. I'm honestly not sure when I will post again but I'm pretty much busy on the run up to christmas. I'm sure no one will miss me but I'm still active on Twitter! Byee

1000 Pageviews!

So if you've read my blog recently, you'll know I haven't blogged much (if not read it here) and I haven't this month either. I honestly don't know where this month has gone! I tend to blog at the weekends but these past few have been busy. On the first weekend in November, I posted a guest post with Holy Chic (links on the post), the second weekend I didn't post as it was my birthday weekend and this weekend I had a dance competition. I can't post on weekdays due to school (yes i know its monday but hey) so this is really the first time I haven't been busy.

With that out of the way, my blog has reached 1,000 pageviews! This probably doesn't seem a lot to some people but it is to me. I've had my blog for 4 months (since July) and I'm so happy that just over a thousand people have seen it!

So far in my blogging journey, I have featured on Chit Chat the Blog and Colours and Carousels and I can't wait to experience more oppertunities with you guys and take you all along with me!

Thank you so much!

What's in my Bag: A/W Edition (guest post)

Hello there people!

My name is Amira and I blog over at Holy Chic and I was invited over here by the lovely Amelia to do a guest post for her. So I am going to start by telling you guys a little bit about myself.

I would consider myself to be mostly a fashion blogger however I do sometimes do beauty posts, DIY’s and reviews or anything random.

I have only been blogging for a little while now, but I have honestly spoken to some amazing people and I just love the overall experience of blogging at the moment.

Thank you for giving me the chance to do this guest post on her blog because it is AMAZING! I repeat, AMAZING.

So all of that aside, today I am going to be doing what’s in my handbag post: autumn edition.

I thought I would just share with you some of the things that I like to keep in my bag and the bag itself. So I hope you guys enjoy reading.

So this is my bag:

It was £8 in Primark (I know right. So cheap) I have been looking for the perfect sized inexpensive bag for the longest time and I love this one at the moment. It has the gorgeous laser cut out detail on the flap of the bag and is a satchel style bag. I didn’t want to go for the knock off oxford satchel style bags so I settled for this one.

It is in this black faux leather material and has a brass rustic lock on it. Inside there are two openings, a phone pouch and a zipped pocket in the back

Okay so I am going to go through what is in the first mini pouch

So as you can see here from left to right I have:

Benefit they’re real mascara

School lanyard

Maybelline master precise liquid eyeliner

Oyster card (the holder that it is in was from Primark about 2 years ago.)

Travel size cocoa butter

Cocoa butter lip balm

Cath Kidtston Mirror

So that is pretty much what is in the small compartment and now I will move on to what is in the main compartment of my bag.

So you can see it there and inside is;

My phone chargers because you can’t leave the house without it

Packet of tissues

Keys

Travel size body spray (Victoria’s secret charm honeysuckle and jasmine body mist)

Headphones because without them I am lost

My purse

My current reading book which is ‘Never Let Me Go’ my Kazuo Ishiguro

My blogging notebook. I write down all of my ideas in there and my schedule for uploading posts for you guys. (And no I don’t always stick to it)

And that is basically what is in my bag for this autumn. Sometimes I will have an umbrella in there but it was wet during the time I was taking those pictures

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and thank you Amelia  once again for allowing me to do this on her amazing blog http://intomyimaginationn.blogspot.co.uk/
